Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series pre-opening exceeded 300,000 units on the first day, making it the first day’s top seller.

Galaxy S22 pre-order sales topped 300,000 units in the first 24 hours, a record for Samsung Electronics in South Korea, according to an announcement on the 23rd.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 set a previous record of 270,000 units.

The success of the Galaxy S22 series may be attributed to the Galaxy S22 Ultra with built-in S Pen, which accounted for nearly 60% of the sales of the three models.

Samsung Electronics pointed out that the Galaxy S22 Ultra was acquired by a significant number of current Galaxy Note series customers.

Pre-sale for the Galaxy S22 series achieved a record of 1.02 million units between the 14th and the 21st of this month.

The previous record was set by the Galaxy S8 with a total of 1004,000 units sold. While pre-sale was just 11 days, the sales result was considerably better this time around. There were 920,000 pre-sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 last year, but the pre-sales of the Galaxy S22 have already surpassed that number by a wide margin.
